Description
This lighthouse was erected in 1842 and was originally designed to state the entrance of the small harbour of Ramsgate. The lighthouse now sits in the middle of the enormous port that has been developed around it. Beyond the lighthouse, the Royal Harbour Brasserie can be seen.
A4, A3, A2 and A1 are standard sizes so frames are easy to find.
This style of picture is best known for its use on the travel/railway posters from the past. The best examples were created by talented artists in the 1920s through to the 1960s when the posters were used bu railway companies to advertise the many destinations they could take you to. The train, in those days, was the best way for families to get to their destination when going on holiday, whether it be to the beach, city or countryside..
