Getting started

What is Numonday?
Numonday is a UK marketplace where independent makers and small businesses sell directly to customers — with 0% commission, no card fees, and one simple flat subscription of £5 a month (or £45 a year).
Who can sell on Numonday?
Anyone based in the UK who makes or designs what they sell — handmade, original designs, upcycled pieces or digital work — from hobbyists to full-time businesses.
What can I sell?
Handmade products, original designs, upcycled and repurposed pieces, and digital downloads you created. The rule is simple: if you made it or designed it — you can sell it. Mass-produced resale items are not permitted.

Pricing & fees

How much does it cost to sell on Numonday?
£5 a month, or £45 a year (save £15). That’s the only thing we ever charge you. No commission, no listing charges, no card fees.
Is the price really just £5 a month?
Yes. £5 a month is the whole cost of membership, or £45 a year if you’d rather pay once and save £15. Either way there’s no long-term commitment — cancel any time before your next billing date.
Are there listing fees?
No. You can list as many products as you like without paying per listing. Unlimited listings are included in your subscription.
Does Numonday take commission?
No. Numonday takes 0% commission on your sales. You receive 100% of your price and your postage on every order — Numonday even pays Stripe’s card processing fees for you.

Payments

How do I get paid?
Payments are processed through Stripe and go directly to your connected Stripe account when customers purchase your products.
How do I set up Stripe?
You can sign up to Stripe for free through your Numonday account dashboard, then connect it to start receiving payments immediately.
Do Stripe fees apply?
No. Numonday pays Stripe’s card processing fees on your behalf. If you price an item at £40, £40 is what you receive.
Does Numonday hold my money?
Every sale is paid out to your connected Stripe account on a daily schedule, with card fees already covered by Numonday. You don’t need to request a withdrawal — it happens automatically.

Running your shop

How many products can I list?
Unlimited. Add as many products as you like — there’s no cap and no per-listing fee. Your subscription covers everything.
Can I sell personalised items?
Yes. Buyers can add personalisation notes at checkout. You can also use your product descriptions and shop policies to explain your personalisation process.
Can I sell digital downloads?
Yes. Digital products are delivered automatically to buyers after purchase — no manual fulfilment needed.
Who handles shipping?
You do. Sellers are responsible for packing and shipping their own orders. You set your own postage rates and policies through your Shop Manager.
Who handles customer service?
You communicate directly with buyers and manage your own orders. Numonday is here to help if a dispute can’t be resolved between you and a buyer.
Can I leave Numonday anytime?
Yes. There are no fixed contracts. Your £5 monthly subscription renews automatically — cancel any time before your next billing date with no questions asked.

Selling more

How do buyers contact me?
Every listing and your shop page has a Message the maker button. Messages arrive in your inbox from hello@numonday.com — reply to the email and it goes straight to the buyer. A quick answer is one of the surest ways to turn a question into an order.
Can buyers follow my shop?
Yes. Buyers can follow your shop and save your listings. Followers are emailed when you list something new, and anyone who saved a piece is told when it’s back in stock. Shop Manager shows your followers, saves and most-saved pieces, and you get a short summary on Mondays. Listing little and often pays off.
How does tracking work?
When you mark an order as posted in Shop Manager, add the courier and tracking number (UK couriers only). The buyer’s “on its way” email carries it with a live Track parcel link, and it’s your proof of postage under Buyer Protection. You’ll get a reminder if an order hasn’t been posted by its dispatch-by date, and two days after the delivery estimate we ask the buyer if it’s arrived.
What are gift orders?
Buyers can mark an order as a gift at checkout, add a message for the recipient, and ask for no prices in the parcel. It shows on the order note in Shop Manager — check before you pack.
How do I refund a buyer?
Refund the payment in your Stripe account — that’s the whole process. We’re told automatically, you get a confirmation, and we refund the customer; it takes about 5–10 working days to reach their card. No need to email us.
How do buyers find my listings?
Category pages with filters, 16 gift guides, a “Handmade in your town” page for your area, “Similar from other makers” rows on other sellers’ listings, and instant search that shows shops and categories as buyers type. Your shop rating shows on every one of your product cards. All of it pulls from listings that are in stock, photographed and in the right category.
Is there a guide to selling more?
Yes — Sell more on Numonday: ten things that take an evening — photos, titles, the first sentence, dispatch times, categories, sharing your shop.
