Buyer FAQs
Everything you need to know about buying on Numonday.
About Numonday
What is Numonday?
Numonday is a UK marketplace where independent sellers offer items made or designed by the seller — all sold directly to buyers.
Who am I buying from?
You buy directly from independent UK sellers. Each shop is run by a maker, artist, designer or small business — not a warehouse or reseller.
Payments
Are there any extra buyer fees at checkout?
No. The price you see on every product is the price you pay — it already includes UK delivery and Numonday Buyer Protection, and nothing is added at checkout. Buyer Protection is 10% of the item price, shown inside that one price, and it covers you with a full refund if your order doesn’t arrive.
How do payments work?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe using major debit and credit cards. Numonday collects the payment and passes the seller their share.
Is buying on Numonday secure?
Yes. All payments are handled by Stripe, one of the world’s most trusted payment processors. Numonday never holds your card details.
Orders & shipping
When will my order be shipped?
Every listing shows the maker’s dispatch time and an estimated delivery window. When they post it you get an “on its way” email — with a live Track parcel link if they’ve added tracking. The same details show on your order in My account.
Who do I contact about my order?
Every listing and shop page has a Message the maker button — use it for questions before you buy, or about an order. The maker replies to your email. If you can’t reach them, email hello@numonday.com with your order number.
What if my order doesn’t arrive?
Numonday Buyer Protection covers every order. Two days after your delivery estimate we email to ask if it’s arrived — tap Not yet and the maker and our team are told straight away. If it doesn’t turn up and there’s no proof of delivery, you get a full refund — item, delivery and protection — to your original payment method. Where the courier’s tracking shows it delivered, check neighbours and safe places first, and report delivered-but-not-received to the courier.
Can I return an item?
Return policies vary by seller. Always check the seller’s shop policies before purchasing. If you have a dispute, contact the seller first, then Numonday if needed.
Can I send an order as a gift?
Yes. At checkout tick “This is a gift” to add a message for the recipient and ask for no prices in the parcel. The maker sees it on the order and packs accordingly.
How do I track my order?
When the maker posts it, your “on its way” email includes the courier, tracking number and a live tracking link. It’s also on your order under My account. Not every maker uses tracked post for small items — if there’s no number, the delivery estimate on the listing still applies.
Products
Are items handmade?
Many items are handmade or designed by the seller. Numonday only allows items that the seller made or designed themselves — no mass-produced resale goods.
Can I request personalised items?
Yes. Many sellers offer personalised products. Check the product listing for personalisation options, or contact the seller directly before ordering.
Can I buy from more than one seller at the same time?
Yes. You can add items from multiple sellers to your basket. Each seller manages their own shipping and policies, so orders may arrive separately.
Finding things & favourites
How do I find what I’m looking for?
Search shows listings, shops and categories as you type. Category pages have filters for price, ready-to-post, made-to-order and personalisable items. Stuck for ideas? The gift guides are grouped by person, budget and occasion.
Can I buy from makers near me?
Yes — Handmade in your town lists the makers in each place, with their latest work. Every price still includes UK delivery.
Can I save things and follow shops?
Tap the heart on any listing to save it, or Follow shop on a maker’s page. They’re all under Favourites. Log in (or enter your email when asked) and we’ll email you when a saved item is back in stock or a maker you follow lists something new.
What do the ratings on listings mean?
The star rating on a product card is the shop’s rating — every review that maker has received, across all their work — so a new listing from a well-reviewed maker shows their track record straight away.
