Every decision we make starts with the question: does this work for independent sellers? Our platform exists to serve makers, not to extract from them. That is why we charge a flat subscription and take zero commission.
Honest economics
A seller on Numonday pays just £5 a month and keeps everything else. No percentage taken from every sale. No listing fees. No advertising spend required to be visible. The economics are transparent and fixed.
Real making only
Every seller on Numonday must make or design what they sell. Mass-produced resale is not permitted. This is not just a rule — it is the foundation of what the marketplace is for.
Direct relationships
When you buy on Numonday, your money goes directly to the person who made what you bought. We never hold seller funds. Payment clears to the maker’s account immediately through Stripe.

Handmade is inherently better
We do not make environmental claims we cannot substantiate. But the structural economics of handmade making are simply better for the planet than mass production, in several ways that are worth naming clearly.
Small batch production means less waste. Independent makers produce to order or in small quantities. There is no overproduction run, no warehouse of unsold stock, no seasonal clearance to landfill.
Natural materials are more common. Makers who care about their craft tend to care about what their craft is made from. Wool, cotton, clay, wood, silver, beeswax — these are the materials of handmade making, not petroleum derivatives and synthetic composites.
Things that last do not need replacing. A handmade ceramic mug used for fifteen years produces a fraction of the waste of three cheap alternatives that chip and get replaced. Durability is sustainability.
Local making means local economic value. When you buy from a UK maker, the money stays in the UK economy. It pays for materials from UK suppliers, tools from UK manufacturers, and a livelihood for someone in a British community.
What we commit to
No hidden fees
The subscription is the only fee we charge sellers. We will never introduce commission without full transparency and fair notice.
UK makers only
Numonday is built for UK independent sellers. We will not open to overseas dropshippers or factory resellers at the expense of UK makers.
Fair and equal visibility
We do not sell advertising positions or algorithmically rank sellers by spend. Every seller on Numonday has equal opportunity to be found.
