Original artwork from the artist. I am a Scottish artist who especially enjoys exploring the qualities of paint, different colour juxtapositions and textural effects. I paint primarily in acrylic, and enjoy the process of developing areas as they emerge, rubbing back and building up, scratching into the surface and working with palette knives, shape printers as well as brushes to create interesting surfaces. Working in the Highlands, I hope my paintings reflect a love of the landscape and capture memories and sense of place. My work is in private collections throughout the UK and abroad, and has been shown at Scottish art society and charity events.
