A needle felted young Hare with a wire armature, allowing a certain amount of posability as seen in the photo’s. The sculpture comes with a wooden stand.
Made with a stainless steel armature. White wool core with blended natural wool for the Hares coat. Eyes are also needle felted.
I use the needle felting technique to craft my fibre sculptures.
Needle felting is a process which uses barbed needles to interlock wool fibers to form a more condensed material. Wool fibers have scales which when rubbed against each other catch and lock into place to create this denser material called felt.
All of my fibre is sourced from UK sheep, goats and alpacas.
If you would like a sculpture you see here in a different colour then let me know. I can take commissions
