A needle felted White Arab Horse with a wire armature, allowing a certain amount of posibility
Made with a stainless steel armature. White wool core with natural white wool for the horses coat.
Eyes are also needle felted, with metal horse shoes
I use the needle felting technique to craft my fibre sculptures.
Needle felting is a process which uses barbed needles to interlock wool fibers to form a more condensed material. Wool fibers have scales which when rubbed against each other catch and lock into place to create this denser material called felt.
All of my fibre is sourced from UK sheep, goats and alpacas and I use the natural colours of the fleece/hair where possible. If a sculpture/creation requires colour then I dye the fibres myself.
If you would like a sculpture you see here in a different colour then let me know. I can take commissions for your own horse, you will need to provide photos from all angles.
Size of sculpture 25cms x 30 cms
