This piece of pure white agate is striking. At first I thought it was ceramic, given its lack of veins or blemishes, but a gemstone specialist has confirmed it is 100% White Agate. It’s shape lent itself to the wire-weave surround I made for it, designed as a single strand wrapped around the Agate to hold it in place, whilst leaving as much of the stone exposed as possible. It hangs on a copper chain. The shape gives it an almost 1920s art deco feel.
A gorgeous piece and one of my personal favourites, it would make a stunning gift, or a lovely treat for yourself. It could even be worn as a wedding or handfasting necklace, given its colours.
As with all Agates, White Agate is said to be good at cleansing and removing negative energies. Its white colouring makes it more associated with the higher chakras than the lower ones, and it has a gentle healing vibe*
Note that main image shown is the “front” of the pendant; check the gallery for the “rear” view. Both wire wrap and chain are 100% copper and will tarnish with age.
Pendant measures approximately 3.3cm long x 2.5cm wide at its widest point.
The chain is a 26cm long drop (i.e. 52cm from end to end) with lobster claw catch, and is 0.2cm thick. The wire weave and chain are 100% copper and will tarnish with time.
