WOW factor vibrant shawl crocheted in a simple design that is both drapey but asymmetric. The cotton is such a fine thread and changes from pink to lilac to yellow and orange, and finally lime green. It is edged with a dainty picot edging. Not a huge shawl, it would be more suited to the beach or a summer eve over a dress… perfect holiday accessory.
I design and make a variety of crochet, knitted and sewn items, all lovingly crafted from the studio in my garden. I have been sewing since I was 7 years old, and took up knitting when I was 10. Crochet is a new craft, which I was determined to learn. I have always made clothes, curtains and home furnishings, upholstered all my furniture, and knitted lots of family jumpers. After sewing for many nephews and nieces, and then having my son, I realised that most of items I wanted for them I would need to make myself. I love bright colours (and so do babies), so I took the initiative to make items that would be fun, bright and beautiful. Over the last 14 years since my son was born, I have spread my wings and embraced baby, child and now teenage-wear – with everything from dressing up & school plays, to Cosplay!
