We are Northern Pantry; founded in 2019 in the heart of Lancashire, North West England. Our vision is to present you with fully flavoured cruelty free alternatives to traditional foods, which are both fresh & sustainable, using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Our two main ingredients are natural organic cane sugar and the juice of hand-picked locally grown fruit. The products we offer are hand crafted in open top steel pans, ensuring that a honey-like consistency is achieved with every batch. We aim to participate in the regeneration of the bee population by donating 10p of every item that we sell to a locally based pollinator organisation. Possessing a big love of nature and an even bigger love of food, we aim to produce ethically sourced high quality culinary alternatives with no half measures.

Vegan Honey Alternative- Refined – Organic Pear Punch

Northern Pantry proudly presents our Pear Punch Vegan Honey Alternative. This is “Honey” with a twist, substituting the apple base of our Original flavour for that of a pear base. Pear Punch presents a complimenting soft sweet mellow flavour, ideal to be used in cooking or drizzled on desserts & a perfect sweetener for a cheeky cocktail! THE PERFECT VEGAN ALTERNATIVE!

– Cruelty / Animal Free

– Sustainable

– Local

This sweetener has been hand-crafted in Lancashire, using the 100% Organic Pear and can be used to replace traditional honey, perfect for people with allergies, babies, vegans, environmentally conscious people & all those in-between!

10p from the sale of each jar of our Vegan Honey Alternative is donated to the Lancashire Wildlife Trust, to help with the education on the use of pesticides and the current Bee decline.

Did you know?

On average it takes around 6,000 bees to fill one jar of 250g traditional honey? But not ours, bees are only used in the natural process of pollinating the apple trees.

Ingredients: Natural Cane Sugar (50%), Water (32%), Organic Pear Juice (17%), Fresh Lemon Juice, and Natural Flavourings.

Over the years we were compelled to action after learning how the mass production of honey could be contributing to a decline in bee populations.
“It all started last year when Dillon and I went on a sustainable kick,”
“We watched lots of different documentaries and from there, we developed an interest in bee culture.
“On average it takes around 6,000 bees to fill one jar of 250g traditional honey.
“Bees are often harmed in the honey gathering process.
“We felt we needed to come up with something that would give the bees a bit of a break.”
Bees can also be killed or have their wings and legs torn off by haphazard handling.
