Description
At home in the city as well as the countryside!
This little hedgehog is made from one piece of chunky 10mm thick clear float glass that has been cut to shape using a water jet cutting machine.
It has then been screen-printed by hand in black and red glass enamel, which is fired into place making it waterproof and resistant to sunlight. All my kiln-fired pieces are carefully digitally annealed and cooled for strength and safety.
It measures –
Height – 50mm / 2 inches
Width – 70mm / 2 3/4 inches
Depth – 10mm / 3/8 inch
Weight – 66g / 2.3oz
The image above is an example, as each Hedgehog is unique, due to the making process.
My little hedgehogs are also available as glass brooches and greetings cards in my shop listings.
Custom orders are welcome and most designs can be produced in various colours, so please contact me to discuss any ideas you might have!
This piece is unique, designed and made by me in my studio in Glasgow, Scotland.
