Description
This pretty pale blue butterfly has been cut from a vintage Peek, Frean & Co decorative biscuit tin and then filed and smoothed around the edges. It is suspended on a long (18 inch) silver plated chain with a lobster clasp closure. The beads are; 8mm blue Howlite stone bead, 6mm black frosted glass bead and 4mm Amazonite bead, all in complementary colours. Pendant width 40mm, length 59mm. Gift boxed.
Due to the age of the materials used, and the way in which they are worked, you can expect to find small scratches or chips on the surface, or in some cases the tin makers mark on the reverse (please see photos). However, I believe these features add to the character and story of each piece.
