Description
A roll of undyed ironed recycled sari silk ribbon, with a standard width of approx. 75 mm (3 in) wide. Each roll weighs approx. 100grams and contains around 27 – 32 metres (30 – 35 yards) of ribbon.
The ribbon has raw frayed edges and seams where the separate offcuts of ribbon have been sewn together. The raw edges mean this ribbon can be torn when the edges are pulled hard.
The pure silk ribbon is made from various types of silk and so the colour varies from a very pale cream to a soft beige. Due to the recycled nature of the ribbon each roll will differ in shade and texture throughout. The silk types used include matka silk, dupioni silk, banana silk as examples.
Perfect for many decorative uses including rustic wedding décor, collage, felting, scrapbooking, embroidery, embellishing, weaving, card making, etc.
Please note this is an recycled ribbon which is already rolled when I receive it. Due to the upcycled nature of the ribbon, there may be marks or stitching at various points in the roll.
