*** READY TO POST IN 2 – 5 DAYS ***
Whenever I’m at the beach at home or abroad I always collect little bits of driftwood and tiny interesting pebbles and shells. I also use little bits found in forests and woods that I then dry and use. This little driftwood art scene has been made from bits found on beaches in Menorca and Scotland.
I love driftwood and it works so well with distressed chalk paint. Each one I make is completely different to the next which makes each piece unique.
The base of the piece is a rounded slice piece of driftwood from a beach in Scotland and measures approx. 4.5 x 4cm and It is approx. 4cm high. This is a lovely tiny piece.
The pieces of driftwood have been waxed with clear wax.
I have used some reclaimed timber for the cottage that has been painted with Antoinette Pink then lightly distressed.
The roof of the cottage and door are made from a shaped piece of driftwood. The roof has a chimney made from a nail.
There are gate posts.
There are small pieces of dried wood, rocks and coral used on the piece.
This item is not a toy and has pointed objects.
The scene is well wrapped in bubble wrap for posting.
