Originally a commission piece, this lamp is the perfect gift for for a very keen fisherman. I was so thrilled with the result that I am now including it in the Wacky Lamps catalogue!
The lamp shows a fisherman sat on their favourite peg (the riverbank location allocated to them for a competition) having just landed an enormous, match-winning chub! The fishing rod, net and fish are all handmade and the lamp also incorporates a magical touch-sensor switch—simply touch anywhere on the lamp to turn it on and off.
The wooden sign next to the fisherman can be personalised with a name of your choice.
Construction is from galvanised iron and brass pipe fittings; the 3-core electrical cable is encased in a hard-wearing, braided, polyester sleeve; and it is fitted with a 3 amp, UK plug. The lamp comes with a FREE 40W, retro Edison filament bulb.
Commissioned lamps are always wonderfully exciting for me to create as I know they are going to have that emotive, personal element for the recipient. It’s always an honour to be given the task of producing something so meaningful for someone. I can work from an actual photograph of someone, or we can build up a diorama-type lamp using ideas, favourite items and scenarios. You are only limited by your imagination!
Detailed commissions start at £300 and a personalised, engraved brass plaque for the front of the wooden base is available for a small additional charge. Get in touch if you have a unique lamp you’d like created for yourself, or someone special.
*PLEASE NOTE: As the lamp is constructed from industrial components and reclaimed wood, the final piece might differ slightly from that shown in the images.
*BRASS PLAQUE: Please message to info@wackylamps.co.uk with the wording required on the wooden sign.
*INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: If you are outside the UK mainland then please email info@wackylamps.co.uk for information on shipping charges and electrical adaptations required for your particular country. Thanks!

An iconic piece whose robust metallic contours embrace a loving and intimate moment. A most beautiful work of art, meticulously designed and finished with absolute precision. The heart shaped light is exquisite.

Brought our first lamp at a handmade show in Milton Keynes which was fabulous and was so nice to hear the way they are made. Then brought the fisherman online as a present and it came on time as expected, we was kept updated on its progress and was well packaged. Highly recommend!
