Tone: Indian Chestnut is a relatively open-grained timber that polishes to a smooth finish. The hardness ensures that it can withstand the rigors of electric guitar playing whilst it has slightly more warmth to the tone than Ebony. Bloodwood is a very hard timber, which polishes to a mirror like shine making it ideal for Electric Guitar. African Ebony is a very close-grained timber that polishes to a smooth finish, this ensures that you get a clean crisp sound. Lignum is very hard wearing and self-lubricating thus we recommend this timber primarily for Electric Guitar where it will give a clean crisp tone.
Design: Tattoo Tones are based upon the Classic 351 shape. They are typically 2.5mm thick chamfering down to a playing tip at 0.7mm thick. They then have a Tattoo pattern etched with a laser on one side of the plectrum to give you a subtle grip feel.
