Yes. MORE Star Trek Badges.

All of the insignia I’ve made so far have been in the Star Trek movie era (Star Trek – The Motion Picture to Star Trek – The Undiscovered Country), so for this one I thought I’d go back to the original Star Trek series for… something a bit different.

In the era of the original Star Trek the Federation Starfleet were only just starting to built up the fleet strength they’d later enjoy, and the majority of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants were still largely unexplored. Contact had been made with the Vulcans, Andorians, Klingons etc but there were still a great many species to find and a lot of space Where No Man Had Gone Before. In order to make a sizeable dent in the territory left to be explored (and to get some really big guns in case the Klingons go too uppity), Starfleet commissioned twelve deep-space-capable heavy cruisers with the scientific capabilities to seriously shrink the blanks on the map, and also with the firepower just in case the map tried to shrink them back. These were, of course, the Constitution-class starships of which the most famous became the USS Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. In those days each ship had their own specific emblem, which was worn on the chest of the uniform tunic. The reason Starfleet went on to adopt the Cochrane Arrowhead emblem of the Enterprise as the symbol of the fleet is very simple; out of the original twelve Constitution-class ships the ONLY vessel to undertake a 5-year exploration mission and return just about intact….. was the USS Enterprise (minus quite a few red-shirted crew-members of course)). All of the other Consititutions were either destroyed, lost or just so heavily damaged they’d take years in spacedock to repair.

These badges are in honour of the original twelve ships. They’re, not strictly speaking, meant as cosplay insignia as the originals were embroidered patches (hence why I’ve had to take some creative licence with the Exeter and Constellation), and they’re also a wee bit too small. Nevertheless, if you’d like them to be converted into cosplay insignia just drop me a message and we’ll sort something out! The badges are available individually, or there’s also an option to order all 12 of them in one go. Ideally I’d like to have each badge in a separate photo, but there’s only an option to add six photos :/

So order your insignia today and sign on to the golden-age of Starfleet space exploration!

I actually got this for a friend of mine who is super wealthy, has all the jewelry she could ever want – and I didn’t know what to get her for Christmas – she also loves bees and when I gave her these earrings, she was absolutely THRILLED! They’re fun, bright – well made – and she wore these to a fancy Christmas party and got LOTS of great comments!!!!! I have a pair myself and am always getting great fun comments – they are just too cute for words!!!!! Great gifts for the bee lovers in your life – you can get regular honey bees or green orchid bee earrings – love love love them! Shipping was quick, but took a while to get here over Christmas (mail delays) but Trevor was very helpful and quick email responses. Great experience. Will buy more from you.

I live in Florida, and we get beautiful, shy green orchid bees – the males love clove oil, so I put clove oil on cotton balls, put it in the bee pod, and the little dudes come right away – rub the oil on the legs so it attracts the ladies! The bee pod is easy to take apart to put more clove oil in there – and several openings mean several orchid bees can come at the same time – it’s the most ingenious design – LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. You have made me and many male orchid bees very happy. The design is really cool, this little sphere hanging from our deck shade, so it looks cool as well as being very functional for the orchid bees. Trevor was super responsive to a question I had about shipping, great customer service, will be back. Thank you!

  3. Weloveourbees

Outstanding customer service – the Bee Feeder is amazing, I put some cotton balls soaked with clove oil (must be food grade) and the male orchid bees flock to it – I like this design because of the canopy, protects the base from rain – will be ordering more. Trevor is very responsive to email inquiries (was a slight delay with mail over Christmas) – buy with confidence from him, I have bought quite a few things and he’s one of the best sellers out there. LOVE the bee feeder and the color is awesome!
