Size large – fits most men, in plain black quilting cotton with black jersey bands.
I have included pictures of my husband’s mask being worn, for reference and to show how the mask should look when being worn correctly. This is not for sale.
The mask listed has NOT been worn but should be washed immediately upon receipt, regardless. Masks should be washed at 60°C as per NHS guidelines, with laundry detergent and for at least 30 minutes. They can be hang dried or tumble dried, however repeated tumble drying can reduce the elasticity of the elastic fibres. However, they should be completely dry before being worn.
This device is not a medical device in the sense of Regulation EU/2017/745 (surgical masks) nor is it personal protective equipment in the sense of Regulation EU/2016/425 (filtering masks type FFP2). They offer no protection to any virus or contagion. They may stop you touching your face when wearing them. They may stop you coughing/sneezing over others thereby helping to slow the spread of infection. The government are now suggesting you should consider wearing a cloth face covering as a barrier whilst using public transport or in confined spaces. Wearing a cloth face covering should be used alongside Social Distancing and good hygiene and hand-washing routines, not instead of them.
The Barrier Mask should not be worn for more than 4 hours at a time, without being washed.
Before handling the mask wash your hands thoroughly as per Government guidelines. The mask should be placed onto the face without touching the inside of the mask. First ensure a good fit over the nose bridge, then under the chin. The straps can be tightened with the toggle to maintain a close fit, one strap should be higher on the head and one should sit lower. To remove the mask first thoroughly wash your hands, then loosen the straps with the toggle and grasp the outside of the mask, making sure you don’t touch the inside of the mask or your face, and pull the mask forwards and off over your head. The mask should never be allowed to hang at the neck or pulled up over the forehead after wearing. Wash immediately, or place in a clean plastic bag and seal before laundering.

Lastly, if you want some and can’t afford them please contact me. Some masks have been bought as part of a ‘pay it forward’, so they are pre-paid for you if you need them. I would like to help. X
