Gorgeous smooth nuggets form these minimalist unique silver pebble cufflinks, each pebble is handmade and so slightly different to the next, they are nice and chunky but not too weighty with lovely curved whale tail cufflink fittings, the ends flip on these cufflink fittings.

The tops of the cufflinks are made from fine silver metal clay. if you haven’t come across metal clay before it was first created by the Japanese back in 1990 in gold and then in turn silver, it is microscopic particles of silver mixed into a binder, it can be sculpted, textured, rolled etc. it is then fired whereupon the binder burns away and the particles fuse together or sinter so it becomes a pure metal piece.

I love metal clay and the textures that can be created on a piece but please note it is not like milled metal sheet which can be made very smooth and is often highly polished.

The nugget tops of the cufflinks are fine silver which is 99.9% silver and the whale tail base is sterling silver which is 92.5% silver. The tops of the cufflinks are approximately 1.3cm (not quite 1/2 inch) x 1.1cm (3/8 of an inch) and the length to the end of the fitting is 2cm (3/4 of an inch).
