A rusted old garden candle lantern, rescued, refurbished and repurposed as an indoor lamp, in the style of a vintage ship’s lantern. The top and bottom of the lamp are metal and have been painted in halmmered finish antique copper paint. The metal window details have been painted in hammered silver to give the appearance of leaded window panes. The glass of the lamp is all 3mm in thickness and access to the internal light bulb is via hinged section of glass with a sliding catch.
Although upcycled to be a free-standing table lamp, it can also be hung from the original metal ring which adorns the pinnacle of the lamp. It would look perfect in a hallway, lounge or study, and would be particularly at home in a nautically-themed environment.
To add to the nostalgic, vintage feel, the lamp has been sympathetically furnished with an antique-effect, braided electical flex with integrated vintage-style torpedo switch. The lamp comes with a FREE 40W spiral candle Edison Filament bulb and the flex has a fitted 3am plug.
