I embroidered the “Seraphinite and Chrome Diopside Heart” necklace using a seraphinite cabochon from Russia and Chrome Diopside chips and rondelles from Russia. Chrome diopside is becoming more difficult to source as the mine which is in Siberia can only be reached for a short period each year has not produced any significant amounts in recent years. It is also known as Imperial Diopside due to its rarity.
I used Shibori silk on which I embroidered gold plated sterling silver beads and Chrome Diopside chips. The Seraphinite is surrounded be soutache, which also adds to the embellishment of the piece.
The chain is made with gold Miyuki beads and Chrome Diopside rondelles with a gold plated sterling silver magnetic clasp finish for easy break and withdrawal.
The back of the piece is lined with ultra-suede for a nice finish.
As this necklace is made with genuine gemstones by hand it cannot be reproduced exactly.
The piece will come boxed with authenticity certificates for each type of gemstone used.
