This a new product line for me, round sun-catchers.
These are approx 12cm diameter, with a raised textured design created from “blobs”, frit and accessory glass. the accent pieces are fired first, and then the designs are hand-assembled, so each one is unique. The glass then goes back into the kiln to be fused and fully annealed (controlled cool down) for strength and durability. This is done in one of my dedicated specialist glass kilns. each firing takes around 12 to 20 hours depending on thickness, detail and so on.
This particular one is in shades of, lime, fern and forest green. It has been handmade in my studio in Derbyshire, and is finished with complementary toned organza ribbon.
