Designed and made by us from solid oak worktop off-cuts, these reclaimed boards are double-sided and make a beautiful functional feature in any kitchen or dinner table.
One side has been designed as a serving board, with a meticulously carved out hollow in one corner, perfect for some dipping oil or olives as part of an antipasto selection. On the other side, the board is smooth and ready to be used as a simple chopping board. Reclaimed cutlery (desert spoon and fork) have been slightly bent and attached to form quirky handles.
These boards have had 5 coats of food safe oil applied to ensure that they are durable and safe. To maintain them we recommend they are lightly sanded and re-oiled every 6 months or so.
These are not mass produced pieces but handmade to order by us (Ellen and Sophie). The item pictured is a representation and not the actual item you will receive, but we always follow the same design and apply the same high level of care and quality.
Reclaimed materials do vary and have their own imperfections which may include slight cracks and discolouration so please expect a degree of variation in the piece that you will receive. We seek to celebrate these quirks and the authenticity of any materials we are working with. We make to order so have a 1-2 week dispatch time on this item; however, if you need this item quickly for a special occasion please contact us and we will do our best to help.
Each wooden board measures approximately 30cm by 30cm and 4cm in depth.
As we make to order, we have more flexibility to adapt our products if you have a specific idea or alteration in mind. We love a bespoke request – big or small – so if you cannot find what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to get in contact and we will work with you to build your custom order.
If we are able to reduce postage costs, such as when buying multiple items, we will always refund any savings back to you.
Almost all packaging used is either reclaimed, re-used or recycled. It may not look the prettiest, but it’s what’s inside that counts!
If you have any questions about this item or our work, please select ‘Message seller’ and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for supporting our mission to make beautiful things out of unwanted objects, here in South Yorkshire.
