Adam is a ceramicist based in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Each piece of Adam’s work is individually hand thrown and is simplistic in form, colour and style. His ceramics are unique emphasising the lines created using the wheel which he highlights with sympathetic glazes and lustres. Adam’s main medium is porcelain but experiments with stoneware clays for contrast.

He studied at the University of Wolverhampton (2004-2007) gaining a BA (Hons) in Ceramics, followed by an apprenticeship under Edmund de Waal who greatly inspired and influenced his work. Adam has taught art and ceramics throughout the South East and undertaken Technician and Art in Residency positions which have expanded the range and influence of his work.

The buyer will be purchasing the specific piece that is photographed in the online store.

Each piece will be handmade and unique. Please note that you are purchasing a handmade item which is not factory made. Very small imperfections are common in such items, but this will not impact on the functionality of the piece. Individual prices are determined by many factors, such as materials/equipment used, the amount of time invested in each piece, and the energy required to fire each piece at least two times.

All glazes that are used for dishware are lead free and food safe. If the internal surface of the pot is unglazed it is suggested that the rough material may not be suitable for food. If the pot is finished in a lustre please be aware that this contains metal and therefore the items will not be suitable for use in a microwave.
