My pretty, Salvador Dali inspired fused glass trinket dish has sides that curve and droop down. You never know quite how the item will look when you open the kiln, and I was quite pleased with the result.
This little bowl would be useful throughout the home.
It will hold earrings by the bedside, rings in the kitchen, guest soap in the bathroom, paperclips in the office, olive stones in the dining room…
I made this using a technique called ‘Glass Dilution’ where 3 layers of glass of decreasing size are fused together. The top layer is clear glass and adds an extraordinary depth to the colour beneath.
The glass is fused twice – once to create a solid piece, and a second firing over a mould to slump it into shape. It is 9cm.
I can make other colours to suit your decor – just ask. x
