This is one of my new range of mini bean bags.
I have designed these to rest your e-reader, Kindle or tablet on to rest your arms while reading or watching films.
This bean bag has a cover made from 100% cotton with a geometric design printed on it. The last photo it’s to show the size, my Lindt Easter bunny was all I had at hand at the time (but he looks comfy so I won’t make him move off); I’ve also added pictures of the final prototype inner bag with my kindle 7″ on so you can judge the size a bit better.
The outer cover has a zipper to allow it to be removed for cleaning. The inner is filled with flame retardant polystyrene balls for your safety (the outer fabric may not be flame retardant please keep away from flames)
I have used these to hold both tablet computers and books in place. They’re light and are easy to carry and place virtually anywhere. You don’t need a completely flat surface and they don’t take up much room on a table or counter.
Ideal if you are bedridden or have weakness in your arms.
I started sewing after my partner suddenly became disabled and virtually bedridden. We spent a long time in bed with him randomly drifting off to sleep leaving me with a lot of time on my hands. I found that I took to sewing very quickly and soon started using a machine. That year I made all of our Christmas presents which ended up with my family asking for me to make them more things.
As my partner’s condition settled down he was able to be more active, leaving me more time to do more sewing.
He now helps a little with my paperwork as he’s able so that when I get home from work I can get straight to the sewing machine.
