Handmade from repurposed metal seed tray
This is a sample I made from some leftover roofing materials
The tray is ;
23cm deep (230mm)
9cm high (90mm)
52cm long (520mm)
The base is secured on one edge only to allow effective drainage on the other 3 sides, I do however advise you line the planter with pond liner or similar to ensure it doesn’t drain where it shouldn’t!
A mum of 2 children, 1 OAP fat cat and a long haired beautiful miniature dachshund, I own a small family run roofing supply business, based in rural Lincolnshire. One slow afternoon instead of throwing away our scrap metal I decided it would be rather fun to make myself a rubbish bin, from the humble beginnings of my first yellow rubbish bin I progressed to making garden planters, metal troughs, and more recently window boxes.
I prefer to make random sizes out of the metal I have left over, as this does mean that the off cuts I have are truely recycled, but I can custom make planters if I need to create to a specific size or colour.
