A very easy to make, loose fitting comfy jumper ideal for a first clothing project. Made in a light and fluffy yarn, the pattern uses trebles for the main stitch, chains and double crochet to start and has some easy increases.
While this was originally made in Drops Verdi yarn which is a chunky yarn, it is also a specific type with mohair, so is very light and airy. A substitute would be Rico Creative Big Moment, or the Sirdar Kasha or Stylecraft’s new Cozy yarn.
Since creating this design, this yarn has been discontinued. While a light chunky is preferable, I have also made this design in James C Brett – Marble Chunky, this creates a thicker more substantial jumper (the pink jumper in the pictures above)
