Sterling Silver ear finding
Hand made pure silver earrings, in the shape of a kite. I was inspired to make this after finding an old picture of myself and my daughter at Bristol Kite Festival! Matching necklace available.
Here at Sue’s Silver Jewellery I’ve been designing bespoke pieces of Jewellery since 2015. I’ve always been interested in all forms of art and jewellery so I decided to put the two together. It’s immensely relaxing spending time in my studio designing and creating; a real contrast to the 35 years in the NHS!
I use silver clay, it’s a precious metal medium consisting of very small particles of metal such as silver, (gold, copper) mixed with an organic binder and water. It can be moulded and sculpted into all types of designs then fired in a kiln to form a pure silver piece of jewellery. It’s a fairly new medium originating in Japan in 1990.
Having a kiln got me interested in fusing my own glass. I use dichroic glass; showing different colours viewed from different directions. I’ve also started to experiment with reactive glass jewellery, which once perfected will be added to my shop.
I hope you enjoy Sue’s Silver Jewellery and please contact me if you would like something designed just for you.
