The Warbird is a military aviation inspired timepiece. It features a high readability matte black dial with white printed numerals in BGW9 Superluminova. The dial is inspired by cockpit instruments from vintage and modern fighter planes and takes design cues from the infamous reference A-11 timepiece (or reference 6B/234 for the RAF). Often referred to as ‘the watch that won the War’.

The hour and minute hands are a modern interpretation of aviation hands found on watches throughout history. The narrow ‘Pilot’ style hands pay homage to the classic IWC MK11 hands with the squared off hour hand and sword minute hand. These are high quality swiss made hands filled with BGW9 Superluminova. The sweep second hand is a white needle style hand that pays homage to the second hand in a Spitfire cockpit clock. It sweeps to the edge of the dial to increase the accuracy of timekeeping and enhance readability.

The anti-reflective sapphire crystal has a clear anti-reflective coating (on the underside only) and so provides great performance in every light condition.

The 39mm case is a solid CuSn8 bronze case, with a fixed bezel. It has a brushed finish to complete the military look and feel of the watch. The case also features a sterile brushed stainless steel screwed-down case back and a CuSn8 bronze screwed-down crown to improve the water resistance to 200M.

Timing is done by the Seiko SII NH35 series automatic movement which runs at 21600bph and has a 41h power reserve. Like all good military field watches this movement features a hacking seconds hand, meaning the second hand stops when the crown is pulled out into setting position. This makes regulation and synchronisation much more accurate.

It is supplied with a black nato style strap with a bronze plated stainless steel hardware. This watch also features a nylon ‘Black Jack’ Union Jack flag keeper which sits just above the top lug. This gives the trailing end of the nato strap somewhere to ‘tuck back’ into to create a cleaner look. This watch also comes with an FKM rubber waffle pattern divers strap with a CuSn8 bronze buckle.

Shipping Policy

I aim to ship 'ready to wear' items within 1-2 days of purchase. For custom orders, please allow 3-4 weeks for the watch to be built. I ship from Warwickshire, England so there are no import duties for UK customers.

International customers outside the UK: please note you may be charged import taxes and duties in addition to the purchase price. This is your responsibility to pay these taxes as a buyer.

Return Policy

I don't accept returns, exchanges or cancellations.

But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

I feel I have described the watches in detail and the pictures are high quality and show the exact product.

Each watch will come with a 6 month movement warranty from the day of purchase. I will therefore only refund an item if there is a fault with the movement or hands within 6 months of purchase date. Please keep your digital email invoice as evidence of purchase and purchase date.

Please note: these are automatic watches and if you stop wearing them they will stop. If this happens give the watch a shake from side to side to get it ticking again. When fully charged it should remain working for up to 41 hours before it stops.

Please note: automatic watches will gain or lose time overnight. An accurate automatic watch has an acceptable loss/gain of up to 20 seconds. Try lying the watch on its side (crown up) to slow it down overnight or on its back (face up) to speed it up overnight.
