The Japanese concept of Ikigai 「生き甲斐」(reason for being) may be found in the physical, mental or spiritual aspects of life. It may be found singularly or in multiples. A person’s Ikigai can be found in many forms, truly depending on each individual. The earliest use of this term dates back to the Heian period (794-115) This candle represents the cultivation of such a complex concept within ourselves.

Each candle is ombre coloured by hand with our own unique method, therfore pattern will vary.
The Flame Artisan uses cruelty free, vegan kerasoy wax, dyes and fragrances.
Our candles are all hand poured and coloured in small batches at our home studio in Surrey.
