Due to the wonderful grain of the Spalted Beech, each piece is totally unique.
The lovely patterns are made by fungi invading the wood and forming black lines or zones around itself to protect its territory .
The fungi is long gone but leaves a wonderful legacy.
I’ve paired the wood with delicate blue forget-me-nots, one of the most evocative flowers.
Both wood and flowers are encased in clear resin.
The pendant is 4cms by 4cms and is surprisingly lightweight.
It hangs on a 50cm silver-plated chain and comes in a velvet gift bag.
There may be some small bubbles present.
This is a natural occurrence in resin.
