This scarf is handwoven by me using fine silk in several colours. The weave structure is quite an intricate design. Pale pink, green and primrose yellow, a lovely springtime mix of colours. This makes a very smart looking scarf brightening up any outfit.
Hemstitching secures each end of the scarf and a short fringe finishes it off.
I have already hand washed and finished this scarf.
To keep it looking fresh please hand wash gently in slightly warm water with a hint of delicate washing liquid. Rinse well but do not squeeze. Wrap in a towel to get rid of excess water and air dry. Iron with a medium-hot steam iron.
Enjoy wearing this scarf !!
I am a handweaver living in the south-west of Scotland, producing limited editions of luxury scarves and shawls for ladies and men.
My loom is a Schacht Baby Wolf with 8 shafts.
My yarn of preference is always fine silk and merino silk.
The inspiration for my weaving usually comes from nature and is very often water-based and I find the ever-changing colours and patterns fascinating as the weather and seasons change.
I like to weave every day fine silk scarves, woven in a variety of classic and traditional patterns and colours.
I also weave a selection of soft, warm merino silk scarves for ladies or men. Different colours and patterns using merino silk yarn.
I weave in a pet free and tobacco-free home.
