Description
Measures 8.5cm x 5 cm
This hammered copper shawl pin/brooch can be worn on a variety of loose knit crochet and woollen shawls, jumpers, cardigans, or scarfs It has been hand-shaped and created using un plated copper artistic wire. It will bend and mould slightly to ensure a snug fit for your chosen garment (as per the photograph). It would make a wonderful gift. The Lava stone heart can also serve as a diffuser to add a few drops of your favourite essential oil.
It is worth noting my items are all handmade and will bear the occasional tool mark from free forming a thicker gauge wire.
Please also note fine knitted fabric would be unsuitable as the pin needs to pierce through the garment to hold it in place.
Copper Patinas and darkens over time, which is beautiful in itself. Being 100% recyclable and sustainable you can pass it down generations. If you prefer bright, shiny copper there are cleaning guides online to keep copper bright.
• Each order is packaged gift ready in letter box friendly sized boxes for you to send directly as a gift. If you would like a free personalised note included please add this at checkout. I never include a receipt with my deliveries.
• In interests of hygiene, and for your protection I do not accept returns of (or refunds on) pierced earrings or jewellery sets containing earrings or real body jewellery unless the items are of unsatisfactory quality or unfit for purpose.
Why Copper?
Sustainable fashion
Besides its natural beauty and ability to oxidise and transform, 100% of copper can be recycled without any loss of its original mined quality. Over 80% of the copper mined since it was discovered thousands of years ago is still in use today.
Those who happen to be deficient in copper may benefit from wearing it in jewellery form, such as necklaces, rings and bracelets. It is a good way of taking in the small amount of the mineral needed, without overwhelming the body. The healing properties of copper has been reported by some to relieve the symptoms of arthritis and circulation problems.
In the UK, copper is traditionally associated with the ninth year of marriage (7th in the USA), its beauty and malleability symbolising the way a married couple can bend to accommodate each other after nine long years.

Beautiful rings and lovely kind seller. This is my second purchase from this seller and won’t be my last. Tan is kind and attentive. My first purchase was a custom made order and she communicated with me with photos and choices to make sure I got what I wanted. The packaging is a beautiful handmade box, perfect for gifting. I can’t recommend this shop enough. Thank you for making buying handmade such a special experience!
