This French butter keeper is a perfect way to keep your butter fresh and spreadable. With the butter stored in the lid, sometimes called a bell, there is a small amount of fresh water kept in the cup base. When the lid is on the water seals the butter to keep the air out and stop the butter from spoiling. The lid is flat so it can double up as a base for when in use and turned butter side up ready to serve or spread.
Decorated in elderflower and emerald falls glaze combination, with some unglazed stoneware visible for style and and to make the lid more easy to handle.
