Fossil coffee cups in Cornish stoneware clay. Shell and rock design. Sand colour 350 ml

Description

These tactile cups fit perfectly into your palm, with shell indents for your finger and thumb made by pushing cockle shells into the wet clay. They are ideal for a morning coffee at 350 ml volume. The glaze is a smooth and silky sand colour (or see another listing for a glossy river green). The unglazed areas feel like rock because they have been textured by rock while the clay is still soft and pliable. I try to work as sustainably as possible. The clay comes from nearby St Agnes, my kiln is powered mostly by the solar panels on the roof. I collect and re-use packaging.
