Description

One of a Kind, Fluid Statement ring in Sterling Silver and 9ct yellow gold .

I wanted to make a statement ring that was one of a kind, never to be repeated, and this is it. The design was entirely free flowing with only an outline plan of the design. The head of the ring was made in wax and cast directly in Sterling Silver, so no mould exists for this to be repeated. A simple, court shape (oval cross section) band was fitted for comfort in wear and 5 9ct yellow gold beads were added. The head of the piece was given an oxidised (sulphur) finish to make the gold stand out.

Measurements: The head of the ring measures approximately 34mm x 32mm at the widest points and stands approximately 8mm off the finger. The band is a uniform 3.2mm wide.

Ring Size: UK/AU T, US 9.75 almost 10.

Metals and Marks: Full UK hallmark, DJM (Me), Edinburgh, Sterling Silver and 9ct Gold.

Use and Care: This was designed as a Statement or Cocktail ring and is not recommended for daily wear as it’s a large head that could get caught in day to day wear. Oxidised finishes (technically Sulphur not Oxygen) are best kept out of cleaning solutions. The best way to clean this piece is to wash in soapy water, rinse and gently buff with a soft cloth. Excessive buffing will remove part of the darkened finish, which can look nice over time.

Thank you for looking and please have a look around my shop.
