If you contact Mahina Designs I will use whatever information you provide to respond to your query.
If you buy a product from Mahina Designs I will collect your name and contact details to facilitate shipping. This will involve sharing your contact details with Royal Mail and / or the Post Office.
I may store these details for up 5 years for insurance purposes and to monitor sales trends and quality control. Under Scottish law, customers have up to 5 years to claim for faulty items, so storing your details for this long is a legal and contractual obligation.
I will not use your details for any other purpose. I will not sell or give your contact details to any other third parties unless there is a legal requirement, or a legitimate and reasonable reason to do so.

Terms and Conditions
All Mahina Designs costume jewellery items are hand-made made in Scotland with love and care. In the unlikely event that your item is faulty, you have 5 years to claim a repair or refund, but you must prove that you found the fault within 6 months of receiving the item. Some jewellery items, especially woven items, are delicate. Claims of item faults will not be honoured if the item has clearly been misused and damaged. Mahina Designs uses copper and silver plated copper wire. These metals, especially copper, naturally tarnish over time. Expect your copper items to darken over time - this is a natural process and not a fault. Returns will not be accepted after 14 days solely due to tarnishing. Often, jewellery pieces may become more beautiful with this natural oxidisation process, but if you want it bright and shiny again, giving it a clean with a jewellery polishing cloth should work. If you want to try cleaning your copper pieces with coca-cola, please be aware that there is a small chance this might damage the stones.
If you accidentally damage your item and would like it repaired, please get in touch to discuss whether this is feasible, and what the cost would be.
Shipping Policy
Mahina Designs only ships to UK addresses. I aim to dispatch items within 3 working days of payment via Royal Mail 2nd Class tracked. Mahina Designs values the environment and may re-use shipping packaging and envelopes.
Return Policy
If you change your mind about your order, you must tell me within 14 days of receiving the items, and return the un-used item within 14 days of arranging the return. I recommend using a tracked shipping service for the return, as I will not accept liability for lost parcels if I do not receive the returned item. On receipt of the return, I will refund the cost of the item as soon as possible and within 14 days; exceptions may apply if I am travelling and my shop is on vacation mode, but I will do my best to inform you of any delays. Shipping charges will not be refunded if you simply change your mind about the item.
If the item you receive is faulty, please get in touch as soon as possible with a description and ideally photos of the problem to discuss a return and full refund or replacement, including shipping.
