*** READY TO POST ***
Whenever I’m at the beach at home or abroad I always collect little bits of driftwood and tiny interesting pebbles and shells. I also use little bits found in forests and woods that I then dry and use. This larger driftwood scene has been made from a piece of Scottish driftwood and bits collected on a beach in Menorca.
I love driftwood and it works so well with distressed chalk paint. Each one I make is completely different to the next which makes each piece unique.
The base is approx. 17cm long x 8cm wide It is approx. 7cm high. The base is a nice rounded flat piece of driftwood from Scotland.
I have used some reclaimed timber to make the 5 large cottages that have been painted with dark & light duck egg blue, antoinette pink, lilac and lemon and distressed.
The door of each building is a little slither piece of driftwood.
Each roof has been made from timber scraps and tiny pieces of driftwood. Each building has a chimney made from a tiny nail.
There are steps leading down the slope and a buoy with rope.
I have made a little fence with tiny nails and wire.
There are small pieces of dried wood, bark, shells and coral used on the piece.
This item is not a toy and has pointed objects and is fragile.
The scene is well wrapped in bubble wrap for posting as a signed for parcel.
