A large distressed Oak clock, big cracks and incredible grains running throughout. The main face of the clock was aged fallen English Oak taken down by most likely lightening judging by the burn at the top of the ring. This clock makes me think of a harsh mountain scape, like looking down a valley. Definitely not for everyone but absolutely very special.
Diameter 34cm x 2.7cm deep
All my clocks are hand made by cutting two two single pieces of wood exposing the cross grain, face grain and end grains of the wood. Then treated with Osmo wood treatments to ensure they last a long time. And each product is unique, these pictures are exactly the product you will get, there’s only ever one of them.
I’m Richie. I was born in the UK and have lived in Hampshire on the south coast all my life. I had a good upbringing with 3 brothers, 2 sisters and parents who taught us that life and family were worth more than money or material things. I’m now 41. I’ve been happily married for coming up to 8 years, still living in Hampshire, but now with 4 very talented kids and a less than talented dog! Over the past 20 odd years I’ve worked in IT and I’m pretty good at it, building teams, creating solutions, keeping customers happy, mentoring juniors, and generally being a happy upbeat kind of guy. I’ve worked on some major projects both in the UK and Australia for the police and fire services, and really enjoy my work when it has purpose. Most recently I’ve quit the rat race and started working on short contracts instead which gives me a little bit more free time to try work out what I want to do with the rest of my life.
