Lovely organic quality to this rich red copper narrow cuff/ bangle. It is adjustable and I had great fun hammering it to give it that lovely purply patina and the gorgeous play of texture and light and shade.
I put a lot of time into this piece to ensure it feels wonderfully comfortable – no sharp edges on this. I think it is important that jewellery feels as good as it looks. As is usual for me the lovely colours on this copper are from time and the physical processes of forging and hammering – no chemicals used.
This will fit a small to medium large wrist. Just be careful when putting it on and off. If you move it on and off your hand and wrist by making sure the solid end is over the fattest part of your hand each time (where your thumb is) you won’t stress the metal and the bangle should last forever. If you keep bending it to get it on and off it could get metal fatigue because – physics. The colour will change over time which is a feature of copper and makes it so fascinating.
Some people believe that copper is beneficial for aches and pains.
