Description
This is my original pen and ink drawing “The Cats and the Mushroom” (2019) printed as a Gicleé reproduction on Hahnemühle German Etching paper.
This image represents an idyllic afternoon for me and features one of my family’s tabby cats, Ygritte. This depicts her reading under a Fly Agaric toadstool, together with her mischievous kitten who is barely visible until you take a closer look.
I adore the elegance and mystery of the cat and cannot remember a time in my life when there weren’t cats at home. At one point, my mother had ten and one of my favourite things to do was to see how many I could get sleeping on my bed at any one time – my record was eight. It broke her heart to turn away cats needing homes so they came to live with us instead!
Available as a 12 x 12 inch print which would look especially adorable in a children’s bedroom or nursery, full of details and textures of all kinds for the viewer to explore… What is she reading and where are they? Step into a world of your imagination and create your own story!
The artwork is professional reproduced onto 310gsm velvety smooth Giclée Hahnemühle German Etching paper with its subtle texture and just a hint of warmth. Gicleé printing offers the highest quality print available and the most faithful representation of the original artwork.
Our world is a beautiful one but needs our helping hands. By purchasing this print, you are contributing to regrowing our forests and planting our future, one tree at a time. Every print pays for the planting and care of one tree!
