Crickhollow Care

Nourished by tung oil and finished with hard wearing, splash proof and natural carnauba wax, your jewellery by Crickhollow will last for years to come, with just a little care to maintain the finish. We recommend a yearly treatment of carnauba wax, depending on the frequency of wear.

Liquid carnauba wax is easily available online, as it is used as a treatment for stringed instruments such as violins. A small amount on a lint free cloth will help bring the wood up to a fine finish.

Sam Kenchington-Meltham, based in Clitheroe, Lancashire, is the designer/maker behind Crickhollow Crafts. He first learnt the joy of woodworking in his grandfather’s workshop, and now turns his hand to the crafting of jewellery in wood. Led by nature in the design of his products, Sam works sympathetically with the textures and grains of wood in his creations.
