Boreray sheep are one of the rarest breeds in the UK; we are lucky to share our croft with a small breeding flock of Boreray ewes.

Selected from fleeces from the offspring of our Boreray ram with Shetland ewes, the fleeces were expertly spun by Rampisham Hill Mill. The lopi style yarn is a single strand of pearly white Boreray x. Shetland wool.

    Beautiful wool.

Marguerite works very hard with her sheep, looking after them, blade shearing and sorting the fleece. And this is before the wool is sent to the mill for core-spinning into wonderfully, soft yarn! Definitely recommend!

  3. Sarah Finley

    As above!

I had a lovely, informative discussion with the seller before I bought my yarn. It arrived quickly and is exactly as described. It’s beautifully spun and really does make me think of the sheep roaming the fields. It’s a lovely natural product. Can’t fault my experience in any way.
