Description

The fleeces of shearling (first clip) pedigree Blue Faced Leicester sheep were collected from the Hardhaugh Blues flock of sheep, near Dufftown, Scotland. The fleeces were expertly spun by Rampisham Hill Mill in four weights (laceweight, 4ply, DK and chunky). This yarn is undyed and is a creamy base colour (unbleached). It is extremely soft and suitable for knitting or crochet projects for items next to the skin.

Seller Reviews

  1. Patrick McCulloch

    Beautiful wool.

  2. Sarah Finley

Marguerite works very hard with her sheep, looking after them, blade shearing and sorting the fleece. And this is before the wool is sent to the mill for core-spinning into wonderfully, soft yarn! Definitely recommend!

  3. Sarah Finley

    As above!

  4. Jayne Dawson

I had a lovely, informative discussion with the seller before I bought my yarn. It arrived quickly and is exactly as described. It’s beautifully spun and really does make me think of the sheep roaming the fields. It’s a lovely natural product. Can’t fault my experience in any way.
