A bee-utiful glass platter decorated with a bee on a honeycomb. Two layers of glass create a sturdy, smooth and versatile plate or tray on which to serve delicious food, display candles, hold potpourri or just to place on the coffee table to admire.
Please be aware that the colours and designs will vary slightly from item to item. I have one in stock, others will be made as required, so will need at least 3 days to create. If you require something specific, please do contact me. x
Do not put in the microwave or dishwasher
Other shaped bowls and platters are also available in this design, please ask. I shall be making them and adding them as I go.
The honeycomb design is powdered glass sifted over a stencil onto a white layer, the bee is also stencilled on, but on clear glass. The two are stacked and fused in a kiln to almost 800 degrees.
After this is complete, the glass is fused again over a mould into which the glass slumps as it melts, conforming to the shape of the mould.
Each firing takes 24 hours.
Display items not included. Just as well, as the eggs would make a dreadful mess!
