Aphrodite Baroque Pearl Earrings. All 925 Sterling Silver Hand Forged Ear-wires and pins. Two simple but beautiful and timeless ingredients: Sterling Silver and Peals, brought together in this creation. The natural coloured (unbleached/undyed) metallic lustre Freshwater Pearls show flashes of many colours the more prominent of which are pinks, taupes and soft lilacs, but as you will see in the photos, they tend to look different in different lights. Perfect earrings for weddings, whether it be for a Bride, Bridesmaid or Mother of the Bride ensembles.

✩Size (all measurements are approximate)✩
3.5cm (1.4 inches) from top of earwire to bottom
These large Pearls are around 14x10mm (are a natural lumpy bumpy shape, so will vary slightly from each other in size, texture and tiny blemishes)

The hand forged Sterling Silver ear-wire are suitable for regular/normal sized pierced ears.
*If you like this design I could make you something very similar with a non-pierced finding (the non-pierced findings would be silver plated).
*If you like these earrings but would like to wear them through a gauged tunnel please message me, I can make a suitable hoop style ear-wire to wear through your tunnels.
Please message me if you are interested in any variations (clip-ons, ear cuffs, single earrings etc.)
✩Cultured Pearls✩
Cultured Pearls are real pearls, they have been made by the mollusc. Once the nucleus (usually a mother-of-pearl bead) is inserted into the oyster or mussels, the pearl growing process is the same as that of a natural pearl. Their outer coatings (called Nacre) are the same material as a natural pearl, and they take years to form in a mollusc’s mantle. Nacre is formed from iridescent layers of crystallised calcium carbonate. It’s pretty much impossible to tell the difference between a natural and cultured pearl by just looking at its outer appearance. The only way to make absolute certain whether a pearl is natural or cultured is to perform an x-ray of the internal structure of the pearl.

✩Pearl Mythology, Legends, Lore and History✩
Pearls are natural wonders that have been treasured for centuries by cultures ancient and modern around the world. Greek mythology proclaimed pearls to be tears of joy shed by the goddess Aphrodite. Ancient Egyptians associated pearls with Isis, the goddess of healing and life. Pearls are the Birthstone for June and the Zodiac stone for Gemini.

✩The hand photo✩
Meet Mephisto the measuring hand, he will help show you the rough scale of the jewellery. The hand is exactly the same size as my own hand (I’m an average UK ladies size 7 glove).

It’s just me on my own, a one woman hand crafted operation doing everything from sourcing materials, designing, making, photographing, wrapping and posting. All of my muses and inspirations make for an eclectic mix of jewellery, that I hope will appeal to the many facets of your personality.

The adornments that I make are created from a mixture of exciting new and gorgeous vintage reclaimed materials. New materials include Semi-Precious stones, Precious stones, Organic Gems, Czech cut, fired and pressed polished glass beads, Swarovski Crystals, Sterling Silver, Tibetan Silver (Lead free Pewter), Copper, Bronze, Silk and many more. I love jewellery to look old and “lived in” so I will often use Patinas to give them an aged look.
