Antique Style Silver Real Flower Pendant Necklace, Resin Flower Rectangle Necklace – Free Shipping!

Description

This is a crystal clear resin filled antique silver coloured pendant, with delicate, red dried flowers and a tiny sprinkle of red glitter. I’ve used a light brown leather cord, with a pretty heart and bar toggle for ease of use. I added a small metal bead to the bottom, with a couple of jump rings to form a tiny chain so it can move gently. I’ve tried to keep the design fairly simple so it makes a statement all on it’s own. I love this piece and I think it will make a beautiful gift for someone. The leather cord is about 24 cm in length, the length of the pendant is 5 cm – 7 cm with the bead, and the width of the pendant is 3.5 cm. As with all my items of jewellery, it will be sent out to you gift wrapped, and in protective packaging to prevent damage.

Hi. My name is Carolanne and although I’ve always been creative, it’s only relatively recently that I got into working with epoxy resin.  Once I got hooked on that, I moved onto making gem stone jewellery. In my time, I’ve played the guitar, written short stories, enjoyed a passion for nature, learnt the ukelele to teach my nephew, dabbled in photography as a hobby, devoured tons of books, volunteered at Falconry & Wildlife centres and zoos, enjoyed a natural talent for rifle shooting on ranges, and owned many pets over the years, including my own captive bred, hand-reared Kestrel! We currently have 2 cats, 1 dog and a pond full of various fish, including Koi, not to mention the dozens of wild garden birds and several Hedgehogs I feed!

Sadly, several years ago, I had to give up most of my physical hobbies, my full-time working life and my active social life, due to a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Depression. Life took a complete turn around in a very short space of time. This left me feeling very much isolated and house-bound, becoming a bit of a hermit. Apart from proof reading for a couple of best selling authors, I wasn’t really doing anything that gave me that feeling of satisfaction or productivity.

I was looking for something to do, besides caring for the local Hedgehogs that visit and reside in my garden. I still have 2 of last year’s late youngsters hibernating in my shed, though it shouldn’t be long before I can release them back into the wild now the weather is somewhat milder.  Browsing the internet one day, I came across a site where someone was showing their resin projects, and I was fascinated! I quickly did some research and discovered this was something I could try in the comfort of my own home, at my own leisure. Before long, I was ordering up moulds, dyes, resin, various useful tools, and thinking of all kinds of things I could decorate my makes with. With this particular medium, anything is possible, there are no limits to your imagination, and there are no hard and fast rules. That suited me down to the ground! Once I realised I could make jewellery from my resin projects, I soon discovered somewhere to buy gem stones at a ridiculously reasonable price, and so the natural move into more traditional jewellery making took place. Before too long, I had so many items piling up, I decided perhaps I should try selling them.  And here we are!

I take great pride in every piece I make, and if I’m not entirely happy with the quality of the end result, it doesn’t go up for sale. I am happy to discuss any personalised, commissioned pieces for customers, although they have to give me a reasonable amount of time to complete the item, especially with resin as it takes at least 24 – 36 hours to completely cure.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my info and for looking at my products. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me; I love to hear from customers.
