Description
Large bowl with sprigged fish and painted underglaze details with a melted glass addition on a clear glazed white stoneware body. Please note due to the presence of melted glass, this bowl is NOT FOOD SAFE. Listed price for one item. Price includes free UK shipping.
These pieces are formed using hand cut slabs of white stoneware. Once leather hard, these items are moulded into a bowl shape and the fish detail added. When they have dried, they are bisque fired to 980 degrees celsius in our electric kiln. At this point the details are added with underglaze and then the whole item is dipped in a clear glaze. Broken glass is then sprinkled in the desired location and the item is returned to our kiln for a higher firing at 1220 degree celsius. Due to the nature of the hand-building process, all my items are unique, with slightly different sizes, designs or shapes to be expected.
This piece must only be used decoratively due to the presence of melted glass in the base. Ideal gift for the next celebration or treat yourself!
Size: 27cm diameter, 8cm tall, 720g.
