A contemporary planter, which will contrast well against the soft contours of the box balls, bamboos, hostas, and various soft petals of wild flowers and leaves in your garden or on your patio.
The planters are a fantastic on your drive, rooftop garden, patio, surrounding your hot tub, anywhere where you would like to add a splash of colour. They are hard wearing, after all the material was designed for industrial roofing!
I make the majority of my planters to order, so they are bespoke, I do not sell to garden centres only through my online channels so if you want to be a step ahead of the Joneses, instead of keeping up with them this could be your opportunity.
This planter is made from steel with an HPS 200 finish to it, this gives a dimpled appearance. The planter has a safety edge on the top rim, and is hand riveted in place on the back seam with matching rivets when available otherwise plain (uncoloured) are used. This means that 3 sides at the base are unsecured and thus not water proof, however the base does sit on a small ledge which is integral to the box.
Size – 20cm High (200mm) , 75cm Long (750mm), 17cm Deep (170mm)
Manufactured from metal that would otherwise be scrapped the planter is of sturdy construction being coated steel but is not waterproof. To make the planter watertight you would need to use a sealant around the joints or alternatively line it with some inexpensive pond liner.
There is a possibility that the material may be slightly scratched, or dented, as it was destined for the scrap bin. If this is the case I have tried to highlight (but may of missed a bit) however I wouldn’t of made the planter if it would detract from the functionality.
